Year: 1926
Designer: Mart Stam e Marcel Breuer
Materials: polished chrome-plated tubular steel structure, reinforced leather seat, back and armrests.
This is one of the best selling chairs in the world. Stam employed the same method for constructing the cantilevered chair, using a rigid, cast steel tube. Basically, the chair consists of two elements, a tilted continuous āUā-shaped tube that comprises the back and armrests and two, vertical āLā-shaped tubes, attached to the first piece forming the back and seat. These vertical tubes are connected by two horizontal brackets.
