Year: 1926
Designer: Mart Stam e Marcel Breuer
Materials: shiny, chrome-plated tubular steel structure, leather seat and back.
The supporting structure of this chair is made of steel bent until the ends join, it stands on the floor with “U-shaped” rather than simple feet. They spread own and create a distinctive shape. Initially Stam used a rigid cast steel tube, like the type used for gas pipes.
From that point on, cantilevered chairs and the construction method became fundamental elements in furniture.
