Year: 1947
Designer: George Nelson
Materials: black-lacquered solid wood structure, natural wood seat.
Conceived for the triple purpose of seat, table and drawer support, this bench is still one of Nelson’s most famous designs. It is divided into two distinct parts: the trapezoidal solid wood supporting structure with a black lacquer finish and the rectangular top that comprises parallel strips of natural color wood joined by perpendicular bands.
